High School Youth Group
Georgetown Youth Group is all about teens leaning on the promises of the gospel of Jesus Christ and growing together as the Body of Christ. It is a ministry of Georgetown CRC and many of the people who participate attend church there, many don’t. You are always welcome to attend any of the events.
Stuff we do:
Youth Worship - 5:30 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. Teens are invited to come to connect with the gospel and with each other. Dinner begins at 5:30 followed by Youth Worship, small groups, snack and games
Cross Traning – 10:45 a.m. Sundays. Cross Training is an educational opportunity for students to engage the big topics of the reformed Christian faith. Freshman and Sophomores study the Heidelberg Catechism while Juniors and Seniors engage an array of topics designed to give context and application to their Catechism study.
7up - Thursdays as announced. 7up is offered on Thursday nights from 7-10 pm up in the Summit (thus 7up). It is a time to relax, have fun, and connect with peers and mentors.
Winter Retreat - As announced. This year students are invited to participate in a Spring Hill winter retreat. Spring Hill is an outstanding weekend event filled with winter sports, fun games, hot bands, and amazing speakers.
Service - Summer Serve 2010 – Guatemala August 5-12. Each summer a week long service trip called Summer Serve is offered. Opportunities rotate among urban, rural, and international destinations. Weekend trips are planned during the school year to Chicago, Detroit, or other regional destinations.
