Just chilling in the park…maybe you can see the drummers behind.

Wiffleballers in the park

Wiffleball in Prospect Park

A line downtime to chill and relax for all the kids tomorrow. We just came from checking out the Drummers Circle and can still hear the rythyms in the background. The park is packed. The smell of burning charcoal and food is all around. A gorgeous day!

Doug and the church

Here is the interior of Flatbush Reformed. We actually had church outside today. Beautiful weather. We enjoyed watermelon and conversation in the shade of the church house stoop.

A real keyboard!

Hi Friends,
I can add text a little faster now. Derek has a nice hook up here with a wireless thing…so that’s nice. We are just chilling in a beautiful old space inside the church. The facade maybe needs a hug, but it’s a cool place. Church is at 11:00 and we are going to share a little blurb/welcome with the folks here and sing a song. The remainder of the day we are going to prep for the week and rest. We may go to a park to play some games and get to know each other better. Adam just walked up, he looks a little disoriented.
We slept well last night. It is a bit warm and humid in here, but the fans help. The girls are a little crowded in their quarters up stairs. They are persevering however and will all know and love each other sooo much at the end. (right?)
Anyway…always more to come.

Our home

Good Morning!

Everyone is starting to roll out of bed this morning – after a long drive, most everyone slept well. Its a bit warm and humid (my watch filled with water over night), but we have all the fans we could find blowing air around the rooms. The girls are a bit cramped in their quarters, but getting by.

It’s nice to see the church campus during the day – what an amazing building. It’s definitely in need of a hug (That’s an official Realtor term – just ask Eric).

Today is fairly low-key. Church is at 11 and we’ll briefly introduce ourselves and maybe sing a song. The rest of the day is intended to be a day of rest for the upcoming week – perhaps we’ll go to a park in the afternoon. We’ll be sure to post more pictures soon.

Settling in

We have arrived safely. We made outstanding time arriving on site at 9:15. We are just getting oriented and learning the basics about our new home. Church at eleven tomorrow. Here is some of the gang chilling before bed.
